Root Canals
What is a Root Canal?
Root canals are needed to treat dental pulp infections, which can cause uncomfortable symptoms, including pain and sensitivity. Root canals aim to relieve these symptoms and preserve your natural tooth, reducing the need for more extensive dental procedures in the future.
By removing decay and bacteria from inside the tooth, your dentist can prevent the infection from spreading and restore the healthy part of the tooth.
Most patients experience little discomfort during a root canal and are left with a fully restored tooth. With proper care, teeth treated with a root canal can often last a lifetime.
A dental pulp infection is often characterized by severe tooth pain, an abscess (or pimple) on the gums, and sensitivity to hot and cold. If you experience any of these symptoms, contact our clinic.
