Restorative Dental Services
What is Restorative Dental Care?
Restorative dental care procedures aim to restore the function and appearance of your smile.
By repairing structural problems such as damaged or missing teeth, our dentists can help restore your smile – and your oral health.
Depending on your specific needs, our dentists at Centre Dentaire Ricard & Tran will recommend the restorative treatment option best suited for you.
Full & Partial Dentures
Dentures are artificial teeth used to replace one missing tooth or several in a row (partial dentures), or a whole jaw of missing teeth (full dentures). They allow patients with missing teeth to maintain their facial structure, and talk and eat properly.
Implant-Supported Dentures
If there is not enough gum tissue to support full dentures, dental implants may be used to help stabilize dentures and restore your smile. Implant-supported dentures may offer a more comfortable fit than traditional dentures.
Root Canals
A root canal is a dental procedure that involves removing infected tissue from a tooth. By removing decay and bacteria, your dentist can help stop the spread of infection and prevent the need for a tooth extraction.
Dental Crowns
Crowns are porcelain caps placed over teeth to restore both their function and appearance. They are commonly used to secure bridges, cover dental implants, or prevent further damage to a cracked tooth. Crowns can also help restore the natural look of a discoloured or stained tooth.
Dental Bridges
Bridges are natural-looking tooth replacements that are bonded to existing teeth or dental implants to replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth and the bite between upper and lower teeth.
Dental Fillings
At Centre Dentaire Ricard & Tran, we use composite (tooth-coloured) fillings to repair a cavity or tooth damage, like a crack. These fillings can withstand moderate pressure from the stress of chewing, and can be used on front and back teeth.
Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Gum disease is an infection that affects the tissues in the mouth, including the gums, gingiva, alveolar bone, cementum, and periodontal ligament. If detected early, preventive treatment will be recommended. For more advanced stages, the treatment approach will depend on the type and severity of the disease.
Same-Day Restorations
Our dentists can create and place porcelain crowns and inlays in just one appointment, helping you get your smile back faster. No more impressions or temporary crowns, just natural restorations in one visit.
